Aluminum foil is pure aluminium.
A hot stamping material directly calendered into thin sheets by aluminium metal has the same hot stamping effect as pure silver foil, so it is also called false silver foil. Because of its soft texture, good ductility and silver-white luster, aluminium foil can also be printed if the calendered sheet is mounted on offset paper with sodium silicate and other substances. But aluminium foil itself is easy to oxidize and its color becomes dark. Friction, touch and so on will fade. Therefore, it is not suitable for long-term preservation of book covers and other hot stamping.
